Print on Demand Production Lead

Prodigi Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Print on Demand Production Lead to join our dynamic Print Production department. As a Print on Demand Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire print production process, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the printing industry, preferably wide format and / or photo related giftware and be comfortable working in a software-oriented manufacturing business. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong experience in LEAN manufacturing, with experience in methodologies such as: Kanban, 5 Whys, Performance Measurement (OPE / OEE), SMED, and JIT. Strong people management skills and ability to create a multi-skilled autonomous team are essential.

You will be responsible for the production arm of our USA facility, helping to continue build a team of production, printing and dispatch personnel. Working with the existing facility General Manager and Site Lead, you will be expected to develop the local team, ensuing SLA targets are met as we scale-up operations and introduce more new products over the coming months.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee print production workflow from start to finish
• Manage team of production operators; provide training and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, production, and shipping
• Maintain printing equipment to ensure maximum uptime
• Implement and enforce quality control protocols
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers
• Research industry trends and evaluate new print technologies

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in print production, preferably Print on Demand
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency operating and troubleshooting print equipment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of print production best practices

Your Role:

• Oversee all product printing, packing and shipping
• Recruit, train and develop production team members
• Maintain safe, motivational work environment
• Identify root causes of production issues
• Be hands-on and lead by example
