Our Finance team works remotely, with the aim of meeting up in person every few weeks (COVID permitting) at our office in Tilford, Surrey.


Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic and rapidly growing technology business. Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you will improve the accounting, reporting and controls of the group and provide first-class commercial support to the business as it continues on its growth journey.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to:

  • Ensure strong financial controls are in place

  • Implement process improvements throughout the finance function and drive process automation where possible

  • Improve the month end reporting timetable and production of monthly management accounts including the group consolidation, P&L, and balance sheet.

  • Manage the year end audit process to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely

  • Oversee the production of statutory accounts for all international group entities

  • Ensure all accounting policies are adhered to throughout the Group

  • Manage a small finance team (currently 4)

Role

In this role, you will:

  • Take responsibility for preparing our annual report and accounts, monthly consolidated management accounts and ad hoc reporting.

  • Identify and proactively resolve key accounting issues, including continuous review of our accounting policies and their implementation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Review finance systems, policies, and procedures to ensure constant improvement and relevant practices.

  • Manage the group treasury and cash management, including foreign exchange.

  • Work on the integration of future acquisitions as well as M&A strategy/modelling.

  • Perform any ad hoc work relating to the group's ongoing activities.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience at Financial Controller level.

  • Strong technical accounting skills including group consolidation and overseeing group audit.

  • Experience in establishing new processes and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines.

  • Netsuite experience would be an advantage, but not essential.

  • Tech sector or startup experience be highly beneficial.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
